A great day for Snake River Steelies!

Post by AGCHAWK » Mon Sep 05, 2011 6:46 pm

With the steelhead running hot and heavy, my brother, wife, and I decided to take the boat out on the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers.

My wife put her pole in the water while my brother and I rigged up and before we could even get our line wet she hooked into a beautiful native, which we had to release. Two hours later and we had a total of 6 steelies to the boat, 4 of which we could keep.

The weather was perfect, the water like glass, and it couldn't have been a better morning!

Beautiful fish! I served part of my mission in Clarkston back in 07 and I heard about how awesome the steelhead fishing was. I wished I could have enjoyed it first hand. congrats!
