Well I caught some fish last week.

This will be short, but being back in school I'm stuck in class reminiscing on my most recent fishing trip. Figured I'd share some pics. It was a lot of fun!

Slingin an 8wt with sinking line in 70MPH winds is no joke...but worth it ;)

All the good pics are from Alex Landeen of Landeen Photography.

Thanks, it was pretty sweet. Killerbee check out the long panoramic looking photo where you see everybody lined out fishing way out in the lake. There's a huge drop off that surrounds this lake so you wade out to chest deep water until you get to the drop off, the fish are cruising on the back side of that drop off so setting up the ladder just makes it way easier to cast to them, see the dropoff, manage your line, etc.. It's an interesting way to fish, but it does help. And a lake that's 27 miles by 11 miles in diameter and can kick up 70mph winds pretty quick makes the ladder more reliable/safer than a float tube or something

Sweet! Nice fish. I've used the ladders before too. They also keep you warmer than standing in the water all day this time of year.

Sweet. That wouldn't be Strawberry Reservoir would it? Tends to get a bit windy there and they do have big cuts and bows. Awesome

Naw I just caught myself. I guess there would be a lot more snow up there if it was Strawberry at this time of the year. That is a hog of a fish though.

Yeah Strawberry is still iced over unfortunately. I can't wait for that action to kick off though! Its been super warm all week so that will speed up the ice off there, maybe only like a week or two now!
