New Mexico Pronghorn

Post by tommycaller » Sun Aug 31, 2008 9:11 am

Hello all, This past weekend we were in Clayton, New Mexico on a 13,500 acre ranch. We had high expectations and hoped for a real good buck. The ranch had plenty of antelope but none were of any size. This buck was actually the best of six bucks taken on the ranch. He may score in the low 70's with the mass measurements, Not a great buck but we put in the full three days and I decided to take him. The antelope on the ranch were very nervous and did not tolerate much. I ended up taking him at 454 yards. It was an overall fun hunt.
