just have to Brag a little

Just have to Brag a little:

Be working on a Savage Rifle that I bought at the Reno Gun show.

Changed the stock to a Choate Tactical, and then bedded it.

After bedding torque to spec

Mounted Osprey’s 30mm Tactical Scope (6X24)

Did not have any loads so went with Black Hill’s 168gr match ammo

It did produce some great results.

The Range was to far and the weather was turning bad, so I went to the local shooting area just west of Reno this morning

Temp: 39F
Wind: V Light
Light rain mixed with snow
Rest: Bipod over the hood of the Jeep
Range:
50 yd to get on paper
100 yd held dead center of target: placed 2 good shots then it was me on the 3rd
207yds (Range Finder, Level spot) put together 3 good shots Group size .510 X .411 (Overall) remove .30 for the bullet .21 X .111

I believe the rifle will shoot better than the shooter

Nice shooting! Im guessing 308? I was in between the savage and the rem 700 sps, but due to me not being able to find anyone with the savage I had to go with the sps. So far I love mine, cant wait to get to the range and see what it will do 500+!

Good group, but why didn't you use some lower rings?

Very good shooting! and no suprise with the Savage as I have seen quite a few that shoot great. Guys who take pictures of groups like you and me are truly stricken aren't we?------SS

You may be "truly stricken" but the most successful hunters I've met were some of the best shots I've seen.
