I would love to get any suggestions that you guys have for a base for my bear mount. I am getting a 1/2 mount of my bear that i got this spring and the taxi asked me to come up with something that he is standing on. If you have any pictures or ideas i would really appreciate any ideas that you might have. Here is a picture of my bear.

Id try and immitate the area where you shot him. Every time you look at it you will remember the fun you had on the hunt. Maybe stepping over a snow covered log or something, i dont know, Just a thought! Great looking bear though! Congrats!

Nice looking mount. I like it when they are in a more relaxed pose, as apposed to the mouth open and snarling. He had a nice long coat of hair.

Thanks. I think he turned out pretty good. You are right you never really see a black bear snarling. I to like the relaxed look.
