Island Park (Idaho)

I am hunting Elk in Island Park this year with my bow. I have a ton of different spots to go and have done some scouting. I was just curious if any of you have been up there after elk, or deer, and have heard the elk talking yet??? I want to head up when they start to talk.

My cousin guides in Montana bout 40 miles from Island Park and said he was calling bulls in last week so looks like you better get up there!

Yea the bulls were talking...They didnt seem to interested in cow calls though. Usually you would bugle and they would bugle back and then it was like they didnt want a challenge so they took their cows and would move. I think this next week is going to hit full on rut in IP!!!!
