Success!

Post by ncook05 » Thu May 24, 2012 10:46 am

Just found out that I was successful in drawing my first choice for elk in Colorado! I will be going 3rd season in GMU 561, can't wait to see how it all plays out. Anybody else have any luck?

Not near as exciting as yours, but I'm pretty stoked about my late season (January) cow elk tag. Pretty much guaranteed meat in the freezer come January. It's been far too long!!

I drew out on a late cow hunt (Thanksgiving - Dec. 31st) and I'm pretty excited to have a good chance at filling the freezer! I just wish I could get lucky and draw a Utah bull tag one of these years.

I drew a muzzy cow tag for GMU 36. Headed out Thursday. Trying to figure out how to play this one. We're headed up toward Muddy Pass north of Vail. I've hunted father north a couple times but never been on this side of the unit. Looking forward to getting out in the mountains.
