I drew a premium elk tag for the 2016 season. I know it is mostly a muley area but if anyone knows the area and can give me the down low I would appreciate it. I am an experienced hunter but live almost 5 hours away and not sure how much I will be able t o scout before the hunt.
It seems like there have been a few decent bulls tooken in the the past but not sure how many are there. Thank you. Strongexterior@gmail.com

It's a tough hunt, talk to the Roundy boys if I was you. Or David Virostko possibly.

How many points did you have to draw it?

I have a late season tag for the area this year and drew with 0 points so I don't have to worry about turning mine in...wouldn't do me any good.
From what I am hearing, hunting around Tropic in September you will find some elk. I have talked to a few people that suggested the top of Johnson canyon but think there is a lot of private ground and access can be tough. I am still researching
