Re: Wish (Hunt) List 2011
I can't afford to hunt out of state yet. But so far I put in for the Book Cliffs in Utah for elk and deer. Then just the general archery deer and I prabaly will buy an OTC tag for elk if I don't draw out.
You can stand me up at the gates of Elko and I won't back down!
Re: Wish (Hunt) List 2011
I'll draw Colorado archery buck as usual and 4th season either sex elk. I'm not fussy and just like to hunt and always put in for an area that I can draw with no points.
Arizona I'm hoping to finally draw an archery Bull Elk tag for september and shoot one of the monsters we see during the rut.

I'll draw a CO archery tag for sure, but I'd LOVE to draw an archery Pauns deer tag in Utah......or a tule elk tag in CA.

In so far;
Utah- Deer, Mt. Goat
Wyoming -Points
Still to come;
Nevada-Deer,Elk, Antelope
Idaho-OTC
Oregon-Deer, Elk, Antelope
Cali-Deer
My wishlist is the Goat tag in Utah just because I can see those suckers from my house and they tease me. Second is a big Idaho whitey on my general tag. The area I hunted 10 years ago is starting to produce some monsters every year. I would like one of the 160 class deer that have been coming out of there, but will take anything better than 140. Good luck to all.-----SS

Re: Wish (Hunt) List 2011
I'm going to say to draw a NM Unit 2C deer tag. I have been pretty lucky on elk and deer hunts here in NM but have never notched a tag on anything big by trophy means and I'd sure like to finally hunt an area known for producing mammoth bucks. If not 2 C, then another shot at 2B.Otherwise to just draw an elk tag and speedster tag would be just fine too..
Re: Wish (Hunt) List 2011
Hey guys!
Colorado High Country Archery Deer (should be for sure)
Arizona Archery Elk (crossed fingers with 13 pts!)
Utah Deer and Elk Pts (14 for deer now)
Points only in a lot of the other states.

Re: Wish (Hunt) List 2011
Fifth year for mountain goat and just starting on elk.
With the luck that I have had with the draws I might just get a tag this year also.

Re: Wish (Hunt) List 2011
just put in for NV with a long list of furry creatures to follow
muley of course. good odds for rubies again last years draw odds were 1 to 1 for residents feeling confident on that one. and excited about doing my second out of three year adventure as mentioned in Cameron Hanes book.
cow elk. 2 bonus points
nelson big horn. first year for the the sheep chasing for me. went with a guide friend on a hunt last year and helped him and his client take a monster. got me thinking maybe i should start chasing sheep. and the nelson range is only about a 30 minute drive for me! odds are about 1 in 1000,000,000 though
antelope (horns shorter than ears) 1 bonus point. man that is a fun hunt! no field judging necessary just long flat straight bullets flying
rocky mountain goat. i have never put in for these but last year i came within about 10 yards of one. we both topped over a cliff at the same time and looked at each other like "your not supposed to be here" and then i gained much more respect for that animal. they live in some nasty terrain! odds are about the same as a nelson tag though
and bonus points for cali bighorn.
rumor has it some az archery tags are still over the counter? I do not know much about them but plan on researching to do some more archery muley hunting this year
