2006 CA Monster Blacktail (non-typical)

Just an update....this buck was committee measured last night and grossed 145" and netted 135 0/8" making him the 4th largest ever arrowed in the Golden State. A very unique buck for sure.

I have never hunted blacktails but that buck is awesome. Once again great job on a great buck. I don't know how you seem to do it time and time again. CONGRATS

Thanks, I appreciate it. I've hunted these deer for 30 years and he's my best yet...so I was fairly stoked!

I actually arrowed him back on September 23rd. After the 60 day drying period, he had to be committee measured, as I knew he would end up fairly high in the state record book. With turkey day the next day (60 days), I had to schedule the measure for yesterday.
