Archery Hunt Last Week of Year

I am headed out on Saturday morning for a 2 day hunt about an hour north of the Phoenix area. Specifically I-17 and Table Mesa Rd., and head east... Has anyone ventured out that direction, and have any info on the Deer pop. in the surrounding area?? I've heard of massive 5x5's walking down the middle of Cave Creek at 3pm, but I will be hunting east of there... Any info would be greatly appreciated!
