Just say no to cabelas tags

Hello everyone, its been awhile since I posted anything but I have to tell you all to stay away from cabelas tags. This year i will not be getting a much needed prefrence point for wyoming elk due to there mess up on my application, so now I will never draw my hunt becuase i will always be 1 point behind. Please dont ruin your chances at a good tag by going thru cabelas tags.

I'm sorry to hear that happened man. Hopefully this is not a common occurrence, and I have to assume it is not (Even though I haven't ever dealt with them and don't personally know anyone who has), but regardless I appreciate the heads up.

WOW, that just sucks
Im suprised Cabelas even had customers after there debacle with AZ elk a few yrs ago. After failing again in wyoming your crazy if you use them

I agree with 9er. I can't see spending the money for the paid services when they have just as much chance of screwing it up as I do. Houndhunter and I exchanged spreadsheets last season and I kind of combined them to make life easier.

Yeah I think that spreadsheet just makes life so easy. I love it. I was glad to find you last year who keeps one also, it helped with info I didn't yet have and everything. The dates change every now and them so you still have to stay on top of each states sites but all in all it keeps me in line on the hunting side of life. I'd be happy to e-mail what I've got to anyone who wants to start using it, if not no big deal.

You are not screwed yet- you can still purchase preference points in WY. I think elk is $50, and you can buy them online until the end of September.
