Set for 3rd rifle in Colorado

Post by JLROOT » Fri Jul 30, 2010 11:21 am

When I walked in the house last night after work my wonderful wife handed me an envelope that had 'Licenses or permits enclosed' written on it. I went into kid a christmas mode in the space of a nano second. I quite litteraly (my spelling sucks) shredded the envelope trying to get to the licenses inside. The inventory went like this:

1 ea doe license (draw)
1 ea cow license(draw)
1 ea bull license(OTC)
1ea bear liecense(OTC)
1ea small game license

Im happier than a pig in slop. All big game licenses are for the 3rd combined rifle in November.

I have achieved Nirvana.

I take it these are from the leftover draw? Which unit?

I'll only be hunting elk this year, though my brother is trying to get me to pick up a leftover antelope tag.
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

Abert

The area that I hunt (591) is draw for cow elk only. The doe permit required me to have 2 points. Buck permits are around 6 or more points to draw. Over the counter bull elk can be used in (591) during the 2nd and 3rd season only.
