What a year!

Post by CK1 » Sat Jan 01, 2011 10:38 am

With 2010 gone I have been reminiscing about how fortunate a year it was for me. Thought I would share.

After 9 days of scouting and 13 days of hunting I was able to arrow this Colorado Rocky. My dad was with me for the entire hunt, making it even more special.

I wasn't planning on hunting deer this year but at the last minute my cousin gave me a second season voucher :)) I was lucky enough to turn up this guy. He is the best buck I've killed after 17 tags in Colorado.

Finally I decided to buy a third season OTC license. A big storm hit at the end of season. This bull was feeding with 8 others on a south facing slope at over 11,000'. I shot him at 30 yards with my old 270, wish I would have had my bow.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I am thankful to live in state that still has these great opportunities for the average working man. All three tags cost me a total of $330. :)
