4053, Morgan South Rich, South Rich

So I drew a Morgan South Rich, South Rich tag today for cow elk, I know its alot of private. Does anyone have any pointers?

Probably goes without saying, but I would try to get some names of landowners and talk to them about possibly hunting on their property. I would think there would be a few owners who wouldn't mind having the cows thinned out on their property a bit. The worst they can say is "no"

Thanks for the input, there is alot of private land, i will be doing alot of home work.

There is a lot of private property in this unit but all the prime areas are public land :) I haven't hunted elk in this area in years but when I drive up to Bear Lake at night I always see elk running across the road just above Ant Flat Rd around Wasatch Ridge and Dairy Ridge. Another good area to check out is Baldy Ridge and I believe Big Spring Fork, both are accessed from Wasatch Ridge Rd
