Re: ITS BACK
It was only a matter of time. And to celebrate I might just have to buy one. Heck I already have every generation up till now might as well keep the record going.

There really not that bad. My elk hunting buddy has one in a 300 and i don't think it kicks any harder than my Rem 7mm.

Re: ITS BACK
I shoot 270wsm and 300wsm in the featherweights and have never had a hint of excessive recoil. I would compare to an 06 or std 270. The terminology featherweight in association to these rifles is a little missleading at 7 lbs it's no ultra light and only 4 oz. less than a standard sporter.

Re: ITS BACK
Yes, they are back, FN bought it. However they are very expensive. I am a big fan of the "70" myself, but that is a lttle out of my price range when I can get great stuff cheaper.

Re: ITS BACK
Actually USRAC (United States Repeating Arms Company)was bought by FN back in 1989(which also owns Browning). Because of liability etc. (Jamison Suit)the new company is WRAC (Winchester Repeating Arms Company)and is still produced under licencing agreement through Olin corp. The new Model 70's are made at the FN factory in Columbia, SC.
The MSRP is right in line with everyone else, the shelf price is yet to be seen but should be right in there.
I thought it would be impossible to improve on the simplicity of the original trigger but this new system from all reports is absolutley outstanding.
