Remington Scirocco bonded
Remington Scirocco bonded
How do the scirocco bonded bullets perform? Anyone have any field experience with them on larger animals. I shoot a 300 win mag and am getting some opinions on what to try for my gun. thanks.
Re: Remington Scirocco bonded
All I can speak to is deer and antleope with the scirocco's of which they performed very well. I would not hesitate to use them with confidence. My experiences were with 130 grainers through a 270wsm.

Good bullet but if you reload try the Barnes Tipped Triple schocks, Hornady Inter bonds or the Nosler Accubinds all good choices

I saw a 5 point bull elk shot with a 300 ultramag and 180 Scirocco. It went through both shoulders and the elk went nowhere.

I shot a spike bull two years ago with a 150 grain 7mm mag. bullet. The bull was 255 yards and I hit it a little far back ( I think through the 2nd or 3rd rib from the end). The exit hole was about 3" in diameter and the bull only ran about 80 yards before it bled out. I also shot a coyote at 290 yard and it blew it in half, not to good for the dogs. If you want to save the pelt.

they are awesome its all I shoot outa my 300 RUM, Ive killed several elk, and white tail with them, still waiting on a big mule deer but I drew an archery tag this year so I guess the boom stick will have to stay in the closet for now.
