I would rather have a used leupold or zeiss scope than say a new lower quality scope. I have bought some great used scopes off ebay. Last year I purchased a couple of 4.5-14 x40mm leupold's VARXIII for around $320.00 each. Which was a huge saving off a new one. Good Luck
