I'm way excited and I don't even have a tag. My buddy at work has a Henry's tag and I will be heading out at the first of next week to go help him.

Time is dragging for me I can't imagine how it is for him.

I can't wait. I have a Limited Entry Elk tag and a General Season Deer tag in the same area at the same time. This is going to be an awesome hunt.

Starts this Wed !!

But this week we will be having record temps for this time of year . 89 +/- . The Elk hunt will be the end of October to the first week of November Then next year deer /elk will be in the first week of October for 8 days for both Hunted deer for years when i lived in california in july . what a joke .

The older i get the more i hate hunting in the heat !!

I am getting really excited but this heat is really killing me. I was hoping it wouldn't storm on us while hiking in on Tues. Now it's looking like I'll be hiking in with shorts and a t shirt. I've been used to hunting in snow the last few years but there's no sign of it getting even close to freezing this year. Good luck to all.
