N.Utah shorter season ??

Post by UtahRob » Sun Oct 03, 2010 1:24 pm

looking took the regs , does it look like the muzzle loader hunt is still open until the 7th WEST of I-15 toward Nevada . To Me it looks like it is . I think box elder closes on the 3rd (TODAY) but just the part east of I-15 . (???) So the way i read it the whole right half of the northern region is closing today but the left is not . Anyone better at translating these regs ?? ](*,) I have head aches 24/7 and missing two disk in my back and neck( bone to bone ) and in pain 24/7 also SO i could /may/ most likely be confused , would not be the first time either .LOL ](*,) ](*,)

here is where is was looking

2010 gener al season buck deer units with
shorter season dates

If you drew a general archery, any legal weapon or muzzleloader buck deer permit, there are a few hunting units where the
season will be shorter. If you plan to hunt the Cache, Monroe, Ogden, Oquirrh-Stansbury and South Slope (Vernal) hunting
units, they are only open during the following season dates:
• General archery deer: Aug. 21–Sept. 5
• General muzzleloader deer: Sept. 29–Oct. 3
• General any legal weapon deer: Oct. 23–Oct. 25

Your reading it right. if you notice the cache unit and some others have a 3 day general hunt... In my opinion, its the least smartest way to end a gnarly problem. They did it to hopefully have the buck to doe ratio to increase.

yep , they should have done something years ago , a little to late IMO .

I don't hunt east of Cache valley as those herds need all the help they can get . Private property and BLM west of here have good herds . They don't even have to move in the winter . :thumb
