I'm back and what a week!

Post by ridgetop » Sun Oct 01, 2006 7:44 pm

Went out wed.-fri. and saw over 70 bucks and about 10 or so of them were 20-26" wide. My cousin did get a 24" 4 point and we missed out on a couple 26"ers. Saw very few hunters. There were alot more hunters during the archery hunt in this area this year. Also on friday, I spotted that big 2 point with the cheater and feeding right beside it was the same 3x4 I have pictures of about 4 weeks ago and they were only about 1/2 mile away from before. I might go after them during the rifle hunt if it does not snow anymore. Otherwise they're safe from me because there's no way in heck I'm going back up there in anymore snow. We were in about 6" of snow at 9800'. Right now I'm sooooo tired and sore but what a fun week. Now it's time to recover and get ready for the elk hunt this Sat.
There's always next year
