The two types of calls that I like are sceery and lately I've enjoyed using the primos line of calls. Both have worked well in cold weather and they don't cost a fortune to buy.
Live to hunt, hunt to live.
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell
the difference.

Unless your area doesn't get called basically at all, you can toss out the distress for the most part this time of year. Male challenges with a female howl will bring coyotes running to see who is in their territory this time of year. Customs far outclass production calls, they are far more realistic and easy to use. Try
http://www.carverpredatorcalls.com and Predator Masters, in the custom call makers forum. All the guys on there make awesome calls! You also can't go wrong with the service, often you'll find a free call of some sort with the one you ordered, the call makers are just awesome guys. Good luck, but beware, calling is way addicitive! Here is a link to a call I made out of zebrawood. The custom makers are better.
