Wish we could use Sabots in Colorado. Though Ive had the best of luck with aeropoints accuracy I dislike the way they've held up for me.

Meathunter,

What kind of peep sites are you using and do you like them?

They are Williams peeps on both guns. For shotguns with slugs and Muzzies I will always put on a peep. I am a peep fanatic. I think it really increases my accuracy and I use fiber optic green on my front sight. Even if scopes were legal on Muzzies in Colorado I believe Id still have a peep on. They are great for quick shots and thick brush shots. (not shooting through thick brush, But while hunting in it). I found though that a MZ creates more vibration imho and I have put indicator lines on where the peep should be and put screwtite on it. No problems since.

I'm really impressed with the fiber optic sights that came on my Omega Z5. Dalhmer does your Omega have fiber optic sights? Meat, I like those stocks on your MZ's.

Yeah, I've got the fiber optic sites on mine. I've looked into the peep sites, but I hunt on a horse so I'm concerned that throwing it in the scabbard will damage the site and have been looking at the ghost ring sites as an alternative. I've looked through the peep sites and like the set up better than the traditional open sites because it allow full view of your target.

If anyone has any info on Truglo's globe site I would be interested. I suspect I'll probably just go with their regular ghost ring, but would like to hear some reviews on the globe site.

I'm hoping to get out this week to shoot my Omega...we'll see.

dahlmer - We do hunt off of mules as well we have a dozen or so... and have never had issues in the scabbard with these peeps. I do mark the lines where it should be and also put screw tite on them. It does boil down to personal preference, but Ive had good success.

Hiker - Well you know the artist that does them if you have any you want done let me know. I cant think of a camo pattern I cant paint.

I just got an Omega a few months back and have yet to try it out.

Meathunter,

I heard you can use "Powerbelts" in Colorado, have you tried them?

You know I have used the aerotips quite a bit. I definately like the accuracy, but I havent had one yet that I could dig out of an animal that was the size of a pencil eraser. So while I do like them and they shoot well I just really dont like the way they stay together when they hit something hard like an elk.

Would you be comfortable with them for deer?
