what is the question?
is it which one we use or which one you should buy.
I have a traditions inline .50 cal.
and a friend of mine has a .50 cal flintlock.

Both if you have the $$$$ :)

But truthfully.

There's quit the price diffrence between the two gun's.

When i was looking at what ML to get i looked at both of these gun's but i got the Omega just because I already had a .270 and a newer 12ga. with the Encore you can change out barrels if you want so if you don't already have a good Deer/Elk gun or scatter gun then maybe the Encore would be the way to go in my opinion. If you already have the extra gun's then save yourself some money and get the Omega.

Just wondering if anyone has ever shot the 2 rilfes through a chronograph using the same bullet & the same load in both guns & checking velocity.

The Omega has longer barrel I was thinking that you would get a better powder burn.

If money is not a big issue (I wish)
and I had $600-$700 to drop on a M.L. I would get the Encore.
I like the looks.
I have seen a lot of post on other M.L. forums and a lot of people are having problems finding a sabot and bullet combo that will load in there Omegas. I guess the Omega's have a tighter barrel than the Encore .(?)My son Jason has a Omega and the T.C. XTP 300 grn with Hornady sabots work great. So you can find a bullet/sabot combo that will work.

I've been thinking T/C Omega, .50 Cal. but still looking everything over. I've seen them down in the $290's
