This was Montana in the South West. Never hunted or explored this area. It's a story in itself why I relocated from my old standby spots. Anyway seemed like a good plan to explore new areas being I have the MT general elk tag.
My black dog Cooper did a pretty good job at finding sheds here in MN when he was very young. It's a funny thing. (???) I do a lot of upland hunting and once he got into birds he simply ignores bone. ](*,) So nope, no help at all.
Regular Dog [RD] is now 8 months old, loves to fetch and play with sheds. She was no help either. lol
I hunted shed 5 very hard days. Pays to keep the old body in shape. [somewahat]
More then 30,000 steps per day. Not to much flat ground out there.
