Unexpected Find

Post by NotEnufTags » Thu May 06, 2010 9:50 pm

Alright this is nothing to get get too excited about but it made my night so I thought I'd share. I took my three boys for a drive to pick a camp site for an 11-year-old scout camp that I'll be a leader at tomorrow night. I wasn't even thinking in the least about shed hunting. Just looking for a spot not too far from home with a fire ring and some flat spots for the scouts to set up their tents. As I parked at the spot that I had chose for a campsite my 6-year-old made me proud. He said hey dad that looks like bitter brush over there. Sure enough, 50 yards from where I parked was a hillside of bitterbrush that I had paid no attention to.

After about a 100 yard walk up the hill I spotted this 4 point antler. I didn't have a camera but it would have been a great ATL as only the button was visible sticking out of a sage brush. Not huge but here's a pic of a fun find. What made it great was my 8, 6, and 3 year old boys in tow. They thought it was cool to find a shed.
