A Fun Day Out Shed Hunting
Got to go out this last weekend with my 9-year-old and my neighbor with his 7 and 10 year-olds. We hiked those kids 13.5 miles according to the GPS. What kept them going was the 34 sheds we picked up. Some were chaulky others white but there were a few fresh browns. I found my first ever matched brown set. They were 3 feet apart. My boy picked them up before we could get an As-They-Lay (ATL) photo.
Here's the spread
Seeing these always makes me nervous when I have young kids out with me.
I did'nt get too many ATL's but here's a couple

Wow! It looks like you had a good day! Is that all one antler on the bottom left!? Looks pretty big!

Yes the bottom left one is one antler. My neighbor picked that one up. It has a nice in-line fifth point and a small cheater. The buck was probably a three and a half year old sporting that head gear. The shed looks to be 3-4 years old. If he's still alive I'd love to find a fresh brown from him. I think a freshie from him would be something to get excited about.Envious of the West wrote:Wow! It looks like you had a good day! Is that all one antler on the bottom left!? Looks pretty big!
