Hitting the Hood 2 - bloody freak
Hitting the Hood 2 - bloody freak
I got out for another neighborhood walk on Sunday afternoon and came up with a white 3 point, 2 white 4 points, a 4X5 set laying 10 feet apart, and a really freaky fresh 3 point (plus trash around the base) that was still wet with blood. The 3 point is one I have been watching and I am including a photo. He is a strange looking buck. I measured the shed at 79". The base measures 8-4/8" and is thicker that a lot of my elk sheds. My camera died out halfway through the walk so I only have a couple of ATL's. The photos in the grass were taken later with a different camera. I still have a good chunk of land to hit and there are still at least 5 bucks packing.

Where you from? To me that one freak buck looks kinda like that buck from Colorado Springs. That one non-typical that was the big talk and major hunt for his sheds. Don't know if you all know about this buck, but if you do you know what I'm talking about I hope.

I am on the western slope. Here is another cool find from today. I really love this side-by-side ATL pic. There is a small 5th point on the main beam on the back shed. This is my 3rd set in a week which is very unusual for me. I also found a couple of old 3 points bringing me up to 23 on the year (3 fresh).

Ya, I know it is not the same buck. I was thinking one of his off spring. And wapitistalker, I have read that story like ten times. I think Noah is a very lucky guy.
