Trouble finding sheds

Post by Wahunter21 » Sun Feb 09, 2014 2:37 pm

So I have been watching and feeding a bachelor group of 5 bucks for awhile, two of the bucks have shed and I can't find their sheds ](*,) . WE got some snow a few days ago but I still haven't had any luck. Any tips or comments would be appreciated. Thanks :thumb

I know how you feel. Sometimes I think I could watch them drop and still not find them. Is there any one else watching them? If so you may be out of luck. If not just keep hitting their home area you'll find them.

It's difficult at best. :)

My only key to success (which isn't much) since I'm not a big shed hunter. But when I have gone, it's find where the deer winter and HIKE HIKE HIKE. I'm thinking 8-10 miles per sheds is good for me. :)

Thanks for the replys. Yes I am the only one looking and the land i have access to is only about a 20 acre parcel. Last year I found 10 sheds on this land, but maybe I got lucky to have them fall on my land and not the neighbors? Hopefully I can find some this weekend, I am gonna check the trail cam tomorrow to see if anymore have dropped :)

Well I went out after work today with the dog and found two sheds. The first was a four point and the second was a small two point. It helped the snow melted, and both sheds are fresh.

Very nice, that 4-point has a really cool heavy base.
