I barely have 100 miles on my new boots and I'm already busting seams and loosing chunks of tread. At least I'm destroying them with a smile on my face. I was able to take two full-day hikes over the past two weekends and 3 evening hikes last week and have been adding to my numbers. I got my first spike of the year, my first elk of the year (cruddy old 5 point) and my first hanger. I seem to be finding a lot of 3 points and have picked up 5 sets, 3 of them side-by-side. Looking forward to getting after some elk sheds soon and hopefully my first turkey.

Very cool, lots of threes for sure. Love the side by sides no matter the size.

I picked up a few more this weekend including another side-by-side 3X4 set and a 4 point hanger, which is my largest of the year so far. I'm getting ready to start hitting some of my elk places in the next few weeks if the weather cooperates.
