Im not sure if this topic has been touched but do any of you guys use dogs for hunting sheds. Ive heard talk about it and heard it works well.
What kind of dogs and how do ya train them?

never heard of it. i take them for hikes sometimes to get excercise

Some folks say you can train any dog to track anything you can imagine. I wouldn't know where to begin on shed hunting.
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

Yes this is true. The dogs can smell the sent of the elk or deer and will find them. My brother took his dog out and his dog found a fresh elk shed.

so do you know if your brother worked with the dog for this or was it just natural instinct for the dog to find it??
