NV 340-350 Elk sheds w/pic

Post by shedhunter » Thu Apr 22, 2004 6:15 pm

This is a bull mentioned in the NV five point section of this forum. My cousin, Auston, and I found this big five last month (March). I found the bigger side on a Saturday morning. The next week I took Auston out and he found the other, busted, side about 80 yards up the hill, 40 yards from where I had walked the week before. With the broken fourth the bull goes about 340. If the horn was in tact, gussing he broke off 10", it would put him at 350. We also found two other smaller bulls and another set of five point sheds from the previos year. Below is a photo of Auston with this bulls sheds. This bull has awesome thirds sporting a 24 incher on the right side and a 23-something on the left.

Hey common guys! Ya gotta give me feedback on this. I know that some of you think that this is a "small bull". Lets get more people in the forum and show eachother how we've been doin' this year and in the past! There are some giant sheds out there, I'd love to see them, how bout you?

Hey ya'll!

There is some news about the youngster in the shed pic above. He just killed his first turkey this morning and I'll put a pic under here in a bit. It was a beautiful bird sporting a 9" beard, and awesome spurs! A great tom by any means, especially for the unit he drew! Good job Auston!
