I've been lucky enough to fish in quite a few different places around the globe (being in the Navy allows you to do that kind of thing). I'd have to say of all the fishing adventures I've had, the most memorable was marlin fishing off the tip of Baja California. Something about fighting a fish that outweighs you for over an hour and a half leaves a lasting impression. Me and a buddy caught three striped marlin that day ranging from 120lbs up to the only one we kept which weighed in at a grand total of 168lbs. Blues and blacks are the ones that get up over 1000lbs. I looked up the world record striped one time and I don't believe it went over 300lbs. Could be wrong. I'll have to post a pic up when I get back home which is less than two weeks away!!!
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

Mine would have to be the Lake Trout. Nothing like jigging in a lake (fishlake or flaming gorge) and not nowing if the next fish you hook could go 40+ lbs.
Love it.
Next to that is a acrobatic rainbow. but then again the 25lb chinook that i caught last year was an amazing fighter.
So I guess I should say my favorite is a swiming fish. LOL.
