I know of a very handsome individual who drew 4th season Unit 49!
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

Kind of a crazy draw this year as none of our hunting party had any points yet all drew. Two in 3rd season, 49, 2 in 4th season, 49, and two in 4th season, 681. We are going to try to see if there is any way the DOW will allow us to swap up tags and hunt together.

On top of that, 2 of the draws were first choice, 2 were second choice and 2 were third choice?!? I haven't read anything about the state issuing more tags this year, either.

I drew 49 elk also, but for the muzzleloader. I burned 6 non-resident points. I'm wondering if they raised tag numbers also. Can't believe 3rd season wouldn't take any points. Good luck to you and congrats on the draw.

Congrats to everyone who drew.

I also drew a tag for 3rd season with no points. Granted it is only a cow tag but hey i can supplement that with an over the counter bull taag.

We got cow tags, also. Can't eat antlers, ya know!

Hate to break it to you, but I'm about 100% positive you can't get an OTC bull tag as 49 is a draw only tag. You should stop by our camp (I plan on being up there, work providing, to help my brother and sister-in-law out) before my 4th season hunt. We'll be right up on top of Trout Creek Pass.

PM me for more info if interested.

Congrats on drawing your tags. My son and I drew a 4th season cow tag. The rest of the family struck out.
