California Winter Range Bucks

Here's a few pics of some winter range bucks from one of the D Zones in California. I've taken these pictures over the last 3-4 weeks. Wish I could find these boys during the general season. Anybody else seen any big winter range bucks? I've got more pics on my social media sites if you're intereste...

Utah - Zion Unit Mule Deer

I'll be heading out in a week to Utah to hunt the Zion unit for general season mule deer. I've received a ton of valuable info from Ryan Hatch, wildlife biologists, and a few hunters who have hunted the area. Does anyone here have any experience with this particular unit? I know there's about a mill...

Colorado Unit 67

Long time lurker, first time poster (in a while, anyways).

I'm going to be hunting 3rd season deer in Unit 67 in Colorado (just south of Gunnison). Is anyone familiar with that area? I've talked with some biologists and game wardens, but any input from y'all would be welcome.

Re: fng....that needs advise or help finding a buck i hit

Been awhile since I've been on the forums, but this has been a really interesting thread with some great points made. Tough to judge a shot without being there, but there's no doubt that, like BOHNTR said, taking shots that are out of range (whether with a bow or rifle) hurts hunting's image in the ...

Tall Clothing

Has anybody found a place to buy tall hunting clothing (specifically pants)? I'm 6'4" and have enough trouble finding regular pants that are long enough, let alone hunting pants. If you've found somewhere that sells tall sizes, spill the beans!!

Re: Colorado Unit 80/81

Thanks maintguy. I'll be there 3rd season so it's likely that the bucks will have moved but I suppose that's gonna depend a lot on the weather. Has anybody else had any experience or heard anything about this area?

Colorado Unit 80/81

Been a while since I've been on here, but good to be back. Has anybody hunted or heard anything about the deer in Units 80/81 in Colorado? I'm headed there this fall and am looking for as much info as possible. Talking to some of the biologists and game wardens, sounds like it could be a real good h...

Re: It finally came!!!

Yeah, it seems like a pretty high quality pack and their warranty is unbelievable. I looked at Mystery Ranch but they were very expensive and VERY heavy without a killer warranty. I can't wait to take this thing out and break it in!!!!!
