Re: My Utah Deer (Video & Pictures)

The second day of our five day hunt had us at our glassing point minutes before light. As the darkness began to fade, Tom and I could make out a few deer feeding high on the mountain face. As we closely inspected each one through our spotting scopes we could clearly see two shooter bucks we had loca...

Re: Poacher ruined my hunt!

Yes, I reported it. Fish and Game said they would let me know if it amounted to anything. I'm kind of wondering if their investigation added to pushing the lopes out of the area.

Re: Openine Morning 2010 Nevada Muley

That is a great archery buck! I may be way underestimating that buck, but I would only put it in the low 160's gross. As pointed out by others, his main beams are a very short which virtually kills the score. That being said, I would shoot that thing in a heartbeat and be more than thrilled with it.

Poacher ruined my hunt!

I just need to vent a little. I've been archery hunting the same general season antelope area in Idaho for the last couple years. It took a while to figure out how to hunt it, but finally got it. Last year my friends daughter shot a 70" goat and I was able to stick a 77" buck a few days later. This ...

Re: Ever Had a Robin Hood Moment

Nice shooting! The first time I ever did that I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Still have the arrows just like yours. :)) The second time I did it I thought "Hmm, did it again." :-k The third time I did it I was so ticked off at the money I just lost, I vowed to never shoot at the same spot ...

Re: shooting-- broadhead vs field tips

I hope it's ok to post this link. It is very simplified and will give you the basics on how to tune your broadheads. The minute you put your broadheads on they will amplify any slight tuning problems you might have. The key is to make very very slight adjustments, and only one direction at a time. I...

How are you wanting to hunt? Bait? Dogs? Spot and stalk? Archery? Gun?

Re: Mahi Mahi - Can you estimate the weight?

I've caught a few of those "dolphin" fly fishing before. What a blast!!! I think you are getting some very good guesses with the largest around 30#. Now a 50# dolphin on the other hand is an absolute monster!
