Got my buck back!

Post by firefighterbraun » Tue Apr 05, 2011 7:13 pm

Well I got my first archery buck(and first muley ever) back about a month ago but this is the first chance I have had to post him. We ended up stripping the velvet off cause he was at the point where he would have started rubbing. Tried to save it but it looked like crap so we just took it off. Exposed a lot of cool little trash on him though. Love looking at him on my wall!

I too think you made a good choice on stripping the velvet. The mount looks great. Congrats on a awesome buck.

Gotta love having a mount to flood your mind with memories. I'm a fan of the hard horned over velvet. Congrats.

Thanks for the kind remarks guys! And I still smile everytime I look at him cause I know what went into getting him and some great memories. He'll always be a trophy in my mind even though I'm sure bigger ones will follow.......hopefully! lol
