Nevada 121

Post by Mularcher » Mon Jun 06, 2011 12:45 am

So I haven't hunted Mule Deer in Nevada since the 90's, I started putting in this year again. I figured it would take a couple years to draw but to my surprise I drew area 121. I plan on scouting soon and I'm not looking for anyone's hot spots. I'm curious if anyone has any information about the unit or the deer herd health? Thanks

Thanks that would be great this is for the rifle hunt in October. Looks like there is decent access from what I can tell over the net. Sounds like a nice view to have.

during a antelope hunt a couple years ago i found 3 bucks (all 180+) that were hiiting the last hay field going north out of ely, most of the time they would bed on top of the ridge off a long sage flat. once in a while they would go the other way and bed out in the sage, looks flat but there are ALOT of coules and depressions out there

Yeah I'd be happy seeing a couple 180's running around!!!

Hunted ther a lot 20 yrs ago. Things haven't changed that much (except more elk).

Robbers Roost

Went in one evening, never saw a deer. Snowed that night. next day, saw about 100 deer on the same drive with some really good bucks in the mix

That's great news, I'm trying to get up there soon. Looks like lots of range to cover.
