Hunting Full Moon

Post by donut slayer » Sun May 21, 2017 2:59 pm

Looks like if I draw a Colorado tag this year, I'll be hunting a full moon. How to the mule deer react to the full moon? I know here in the south, whitetail deer are not active during the morning or evening during the full moon. They can eat all night during the full moon.

I don't think it affects the hunt in the least. I've been hunting CO for more than 25 years and the moon phase doesn't seem to cause any change in the deer or elk.
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

I agree, if you stay out from before sun up and until after dark to hike out. You should be able to locate some game.
There's always next year
