A little herd management

Post by gizmo1 » Thu Nov 17, 2011 10:29 am

Well here are the first two whitetails down for this season. I took these two within about 10 min of each other. This particular property has a ton of deer on it. This will be my third year hunting it and I am trying to do a little selective management on it. This has prove pretty difficult because I have had to pass on a lot of really nice deer but I think if I can stay the course I will have some really nice bucks on it in a year or two. This little buck was running with a real nice 3 1/2 y/o 130in 10point. Took about all I could do to pass on him and take the little trash horn buck. I'll try and get a picture of the big buck.
