BIG browns

Post by Mark » Tue Dec 02, 2008 11:19 pm

Some recent brown trout from some friends of mine. Both browns were caught the same day in the same spot 3 hrs apart. Both are over 10 lbs.

Enjoy the pics...

The lake trout was caught by my son in the same lake a few days later. He weighed in at 8.5lbs.

Thanks guys. It's makes for a pretty slow day on the water when you target big browns, at least where we fish. They're far and few between. I get pretty discouraged sometimes! I fished that lake for 20 hrs over 2 days for 1 little rainbow. The thing is, when you do hook up you know you'll have a good chance at a nice fish.

The lake trout do hang in the same areas where the browns are this time of year so you really never know what you have on the line. You don't catch large numbers, but will catch larger fish.
