6.5 Creedmore Info

Post by JBird » Fri May 01, 2015 11:04 am

I've been looking into getting a short action light weight gun for awhile mostly for the future wife and I've kind of been leaning towards a 7MM-08 when I ran across the option of buying 6.5 Creedmore instead. I don't know that there is much difference in the two calibers, so I was wondering if anyone on here had experience with the 6.5. It'll mostly be a deer gun but the occasional elk hunt wouldn't be out of the question.

I have a creedmore. Absolutely love it. It is a ruger m77 mark II target. So its a heavy sucker. I have taken it deer hunting before, but not elk ( I would though and not be worried about it)
If you are looking for a dedicated hunting rifle either or would be fine if you also want a target rifle I would go with the 6.5 creedmore. Factory loads from hornady shoot great. If you hand reload let me know and I'll get you started in the right direction.
Is someone with 10 million dollars any happier than someone with 9 million?
