2012 Idaho Whitetail is almost done!

Post by Springville Shooter » Fri Jan 25, 2013 3:38 pm

Got a call from the Taxidermist that he is working on my buck this week so I stopped by on my lunch break to check out the progress. I think that this is going to be a very nice mount. I think that with the pose and ear position, the artist does a great job capturing a real, classic, whitetail look. On a side note, he handed be a broken off antler point and said that he found it imbedded in the bucks forehead while caping. He said there were several other scars and antler fragments in the head and kneck area. Looks like the buck was not very personalble. Should be done and at home in a couple of weeks, but here are some pics of the progress. I am excited for sure!

Here he is at home. What do you think? I think the taxidermist did a pretty good job creating a classic whitetail high-alert look.----SS
