Hey all,
The UWC has received the opportunity to take one lucky disabled hunter elk hunting this year. We have obtained access to a private ranch on the south slope and are looking very forward to providing a great experience for the lucky hunter.
So, I am reaching out to you all in hopes that you have good candidates. Hunter must be able to obtain disabled certification from the division, purchase a general season any weapon elk tag and shoot a rifle with fair accuracy. The hunt starts 1 week before the general season any weapon elk opener(Oct. 1), so time is fairly limited.
We would prefer to take someone with limited hunting experience and with who is truely disabled. Disability due to having 3 knee surgeries from 20 years of REC softball isn't what we are after.
