While I don't condone what these so called officers of the law did, the bunny hugger Boulderites are blowing this out of proportion. It is constantly on the news. They have held candle light vigils for the animal...ridiculous! I hope those involved lose their jobs, and are prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

i can only hope that they give those cops the book what a nice animal as well how sad.

Re: Cops poach Elk
Hmm bad situation. Sounds to me like it wasn't handled well by the police officer, even if the bull was injured or not I'd think that the DOW should have been contacted.
Re: Cops poach Elk
Just read a report both officers involved have been charged with a couple or three felonies and a few more misdemeanors. They have also been placed on unpaid suspension.
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

What I find hilarious is the lawyer for the "Wildlife Foundation" who spoke out against the killing of an animal is wearing a sheep skin jacket! What a hypocrite!

Any word on the charges from the Division yet?
