Hi Guys, can you give me some advice on recommended shooting positions to practice: Standing, kneeling, sitting.

I do practice shooting at a downward angle off the back deck.

What position are you typically in when shooting your deer?

thanks

I usually am prone on a bipod or sitting indian style using a bipod fully extended. You really should practice all possible shooting positions though as you never know what shot you may have to take.

Thanks for the response, Guess I should have been more specific with weapon of choice,

Talking specifically about shooting with a compound bow

I usually practice standing or on my knees. Havent had much call for a seated shot, but several from my knees after a long crawl. Good luck!

If you hunt from a ground blind, kneeling position is a must. I stand behind a tree, so I mostly practice from a standing position. Consider how you hunt and you'll answer your own question lol

Thanks guys. all of my bowhunting to this point has been done from a treestand for whitetails. This will be a first for spot/stalk Mulies. I've been practicing from kneeling/standing, but got to thinking that I've not practiced from sitting on the ground.

Hope you all do well this season!!
