Airline approved crossbow case????

Post by Cane Creek » Tue Sep 06, 2011 9:53 am

Has anyone had any experience with checking in a crossbow as luggage on an airplane? I have a Horton Vision 175 and a Plano Manta case. Will that work? If not, what is my best option? Thanks for any help!

As far as I know, any hard case that is lockable will work. That is the rule for firearms and I can't see the airlines making it more stringent for crossbows.
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

I am also concerned with the size of the case. Most airlines state that cases can not be more than 62" Linear inches. Has anyone ever had an issue with the size of the cases?
