Utah -Fishlake East or West,?

Post by Mike Pritzl » Wed Jun 05, 2013 10:36 am

Question: If you have archery hunted at Fish Lake in the past do you feel there are more deer and elk
On the west side like Seven Mile or Hancock Flats or on the East side like Crater Lake or Mytoge Mnt.
Area. I have spoken to several different hunters over the years on which area they like the most but
I wanted to get some input from any of you who have hunted these areas, Thanks for the input and
Good hunting this year.

Thanks for the input HCA, I grew up hunting 7 mile as a kid and it was great. From what I have seen most of the deer are
staying on the West side of Fish Lake but during the winter passing throw I seen allot of deer and elk over on the east side
so wanted to get so feedback, Thanks.

I hunted Fish lake many years ago. Last time up to UM (2009) was an eye opener. Lots of dead trees on Mt. Marvine. There were still quite a few deer and elk in the area and plenty of water down in Black Flat. There are some nice meadows at the base of Mt. Terrill worth checking out.
Good luck.
