G5

Post by skyhawkbowhunter1 » Fri Jun 06, 2008 9:44 pm

Anyone use the G5 Striker broadheads. I have used the G5 mechanicals but i dont like any mechanical broadheads. So i was wondering if anyone liked these i have read many reviews but most of those hunters were whitetail hunters with short shots I want to see what out west hunters with 40-50 yard shots think

I have used the G5 Strikers. I chose Slick Tricks last year due to the extra cutting blade but will be using Strikers this year.
My wife used them on a mule deer last year and killed her first. She shot the buck in the scapula(right front shoulder) and dropped him. The Striker did have one blade break off.
They fly extremely well at longer distances, I have shot them at 60-70 yards without problems.

JUST USE WENSEL WOODSMANS.... AND THEN THERE IS NO QUESTION... YOU HAVE THE MOST
PERFECTLY DESIGNED AND PREFORMING BROADHEAD EVER CREATED.....UNLESS YOU LIKE THOSE SCRAWNY LITTLE HEADS.....

I was set on shooting the G5 broadheads this year but I have been told two archery shops that they are not near as sharp as most others. But I would still like to hear about them from someone with experience with these heads.

I have not used the g5 strikers but I have used something similar in the Bass Pro Shop Blackout broadheads. They are a little bit cheaper and not quite as wide but they seem to work fine. I think with most broadheads today its not the head but where you place it on the animal.

i shoot strikers and love them they are way sharp, fly awesome, and are just an awesome broadhead plain and simple. there is only one problem with them the blades are kinda thin so they chip if you hit them just right, but thats why they are a replaceable blade broadhead.
