Re: Utah's GOV Tag & Sportmans Tag - Filled
I too would love to see the pictures of the gov tag and the sportsmans buck. Has anyone heard about the henry mountain buck that was taken this year. The green typical frame went 229". The world record burris buck has a 226" typical frame so if 60 days of drying doesn't cause 3" of loss we may see a...

Re: utah deer management hunts
I've heard other people describe their main frame 4 x 4 bucks as 5 x 5s because of the eye gaurds. I've always felt that they were wrong. To me a buck could have triple eye gaurds on each side but would still be considered a four point buck if it were otherwise, a typical mature buck. The eye gaurds...

Re: My '08 Muzzle Loader Buck, 196 2/8" Gross
That is a whopper of a buck. How long was your shot? Thanks for the story and photos. The buck was out 110 yards. I had guessed 100 but we ranged it at 110. I only had seconds to prepare and fire. I thought I was leading him but I guess I didn't swing through very well as my shot got him through th...

We were out west of Delta. Did some rock hounding too. Good times. Small world man :thumb Here's a pic of my first yote. Small but at least it won't get big off of fawn venison. http://www.postimage.org/Pq2QAlTr.jpg While out there we called in this badger. He stayed out a ways so the picture isn't...

My '08 Muzzle Loader Buck, 196 2/8" Gross
A few of you including KillerBee have requested that I start a thread about my 08 muzzle loader buck to hear the story so here goes. I typically get small two or three point bucks. There have been several unfilled tag years when I hold out for one of the big ones that we see in the canyon we hunt. I...
